Challenges help you to grow toward where and what you want to be. I you meet your challenges, you will become a stronger person.
You will have a better understanding of what you are capable of, and you will be more willing and able to do things in the future.
Challenges unfaced can be the regrets that will live with you for your whole life. Regrets are reminders of your bad choices in life.
You may be better off trying things and learning from mistakes, than never trying things, and regretting what you missed out on.

My thoughts? I Love This!!!!! Never looked at an abusive father as a Challenge...till now. I have never faced the Challenge of my father. The one who is "always right!" The very one who will fight till he wins in everything he says and does. His way or no way!! The very one who took his anger out on me by purposely making me fear him. The very one I have seen with blindfolds on! I'm 46 years old and still fear him.
Time for a change. Blindfolds off and see him for who he Really is. I will have to be the one to step up and say No More!!!! My Challenge has ended...time to let go of the guilt tripping Catholic BS. Honor thy father & Mother? Not when they are beating the hell out of you and abusing you mentally at the same time!!!Time to let go of trying so damn hard to hold on to something that will never be. A challenge it's time to face...and gracefully bow out!!
I took on the challenge of my Mother b4 she passed. It went Awesome!!! She left this world With a Daughter who Loves her just the way she is! And we received/gave Love to each other until the final day came. The First time in 32 yrs we said the words I Love You....and said it with Love in our hearts!!!
Thanks Carolyn!!! I love my new word "Challenge"--something you get past/over!!
I am so glad you have met and dealt with some of your challenges. As long as you are your first best friend, you will never have to do this friendless - and I am your friend forever as well.
